I just want to be there already!   I want the dream house, the dream career, the dream car, the dream family, the dream body, the dream situation.   I feel like I’m always working toward something and on something.   Certainly, I’ve seen massive growth in my life, but there are so many more things, I still want to have in place already.   If you’ve been working out daily and watching your food intake and counting calories, you see your goal in the distance – the goal weight (still not reached).   If only I can lose (X) amount of pounds, then I’ll be in the best shape of my life.   Even if you’re working in a great career, “If only I can get (X) position, then I’ll be set.   If you’re trying to find the room in your 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, for those extra items, you may be daydreaming of that home with the perfect storage space, that has the office you’ve always wanted, so you can finally start that business you’ve always dreamed of.   Oh no...

Since corporations and LLC’s are not a protected class of the Fair Housing Act, then yes, I can say what I’m about to say.   Homeowners, do you really want to sell your home to an LLC, or corporation?   Consider this, with the claims that you will save a “ton” of money in fees by not using a real estate agent, these business entities are not giving you the whole story.    And why would they?   You’re not asking for it and you’re not paying attention enough to see what the big picture is. Remember when you were in middle school and your teacher assigned where you would sit?   Usually this was after being allowed to pick our own seats, and we would sit next to our best friends and talk the whole time during class.   Then we would have to be broken up so we could actually pay attention.   Then we went to the cafeteria and we had to find a place to sit and eat.   Some of us with our friends, others of us as loners or outcasts.   Then we got older and we went to work and our boss would walk us to our desk or office and tell us this is where we will be stationed.   Then we got savvy and decided we wanted to travel and we picked our seats beforehand to assure we got the window or aisle seat (because no one truly likes the middle).   There is something chaotic about the idea that we can sit wherever we want.   It adds a bit of pressure to any situation that we must make a decision here and what does that decision say about...

God's Wisdom:  This is what the Holy Spirit lead me to write down after an encounter with a nice older lady in the building.  I was going to check the mail, when she steps from around the corner and asked me where the clubhouse was.  I pointed around the corner, but said, "It's closed on Sundays.  You can still get to the gym if you want though."  Then she asked about our gate to the community.  "How come some people can wave at the gate and get in, and I have to put in a code?"  I explained that if you live here, you should have a gate key for quick access.  As I continued to chat with her, I found out that she was staying in an Air bnb in our complex and rented it out for a month while looking for a home to buy.  She was from California.  As a Realtor, I jumped right on that and asked  if she was working with anyone already.  She said 'Yes', but was so delighted with me and my conversation, that we talked for an additional...

We always highlight the best parts of us.   " Get my good side," when it comes to taking pics.    I met a young man the other day and shared that if he needed any help with administration or organizing some ideas for his company that I’d be happy to assist, since this is my area of expertise.   If we know we are good at something, we’re more confident in it, which brings us more satisfaction when we succeed in those areas, confirming our value.   For a while, I hated playing the game SKIP-BO!   It’s actually a fun family game.   3 or 4 of us would get together and play.   Even though, I feel like it’s more about the cards you’re dealt than how you play them, my husband was notoriously winning all the time.   He is really good at this game.   And it was so frustrating to me.   I hated to keep losing.   It made me feel like I wasn’t good at the game, so I hissed every time someone brought up playing it.   UNTIL!   ...

  So, what are the things that are necessary?   Because I refuse to do busy work.   Many have fallen prey to the belief that as long as I’m busy doing things, I’m actually getting things done.   Not true.   And painfully so because most of us live on the brink of exhaustion.   To think that more than half the things we spend time doing is a waste of time and getting us no closer to our goals is heart wrenching.   My sleep is so sweet when I hit my pillow because I feel like I’ve done well, the things God has desired me to do.   And when I was a poor steward of my time, I toss and turn with a to-do list in my mind of things I still need to do. I pray, “Lord, turn my eyes away from worthless things and preserve my life according to your Word.” Psalm 119:37. Why?   Because it’s so easy to lose hours on social media, reality tv, daydreaming, starting and quitting projects before they’re completed, etc.   Anything can be busy work. ...

Lord, I pray I can run with fervency the race that you have set before me.  I know that there are worldly pursuits that I will miss and things that I won't experience, which are fine with me.  I want the life that you have designed me to have.  And I don't want to be moved or tossed to and from by what others are doing and pursuing.  Place your desires for me ground in my heart.  Grant me a solid vision of the life you have for me that I might find my delight walking in step and in tune with that vision.  Your Word has said without a vision, the people perish.  I'm thankful that you've answered my prayers on my relationship with Riley.  I still don't know what the future holds but I know that above all, you have heard me.
